How to Choose Where to Stay in Chefchaouen

  • Stay inside or just above the medina. Everything is walkable, and the evening light on the blue lanes is the best part of a visit.
  • Pack light. Cars cannot reach most of the medina, so expect to walk the last stretch with your luggage. Most riads can send someone to help.
  • Look for a terrace. The views over the town and the Rif Mountains are the reason to stay the night.
  • Want a pool or spa? Choose Lina Ryad & Spa, Dar Echchaouen, Riad Cherifa or Alhambra Ryad & Spa.
  • Book early for spring and autumn. These are the most popular seasons, and the best riads fill up first.
