If time permits, visit the bustling Jemaa el-Fna square, known for its storytellers, musicians, snake charmers, and food stalls. Take a stroll through the medina to discover its colorful souks filled with spices, textiles, and handcrafted goods.
Depart Marrakech and head into the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters). Stop at local villages for a glimpse into Berber culture. Visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a famous fortified village used as a backdrop for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” and explore the historic Kasbah Taourirt. Continue to Casablanca, where you’ll visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and open to non-Muslims. Spend the evening exploring the Corniche, Casablanca’s vibrant waterfront district.
